Sustainable Crediton - Waste Action Group

And, thanks to Transition Town Honiton they are coming to Honiton next week to talk about community plastic collections.
In East Devon there is as yet no facility for collection within towns and villages - so it would be interesting to hear how Crediton did it:

Plastic Fantastic (or maybe not!)

On the week when it was announced that the government will be introducing a charge on buying plastic bags from big stores, we’re very pleased to announce our own plans to tackle the problems of plastic in our community here in Honiton. Please come along to hear Anne Tucker talk about how Sustainable Crediton have collected and recycled over 3.4 tons of plastic in the last year. This represents over 300 builders dumpy bags of plastic that would fill at least 3 double decker buses!
We hope you can join us on Thursday 19th Sept 2013 at 7.30pm – it won’t be a long talk and we’ll have a chat about how to do this in Honiton afterwards. Tea/Coffee/cake & lovely company supplied too! Bring a friend. Details below.
